2021 Chevrolet Silverado HD vs 2021 Ford Super Duty in Chino CA
2021 Chevrolet Silverado HD Overview
The Silverado’s widebody new look is coming for the 2021 Ford Super Duty. It’s politely taking over the class with its appearance, towing power, and down to earth charm. Meanwhile, the Super Duty hangs on for a wild ride here in our 2021 Chevrolet Silverado HD vs 2021 Ford Super Duty review. We’ll examine the exterior and interior of both of these models and see where they contrast. M K Smith Chevrolet is back for another year of serving Chino Glendora Ontario Inland Empire with reviews like this so that you can see where our vehicles match up against others here in the area. What does the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado HD give you that the Super Duty can’t?
Performance – Chevrolet Dealer serving Chino CA
The power between these two is well documented on the base models. Chevy’s Work Truck has 401 horsepower, while the Ford XL only gets 385 horsepower. It’s a formidable obstacle for Ford to overcome. It’s just not becoming of Ford to drop the ball on the base model. Many people will choose the base models because they’re the most economical, and some people like a manly truck, not one that’s all dressed up. So Chevy has a distinct advantage here. We also appreciate that the Silverado HD has a larger gas tank. Its fuel capacity is 36 gallons standard, and you don’t have to upgrade anymore and pay out extra to get that. To go above that on the Super Duty, you have to pick it up as an optional feature. Fuel capacity shouldn’t be optional. It should be right in that sweet spot of 36 gallons like it is on the Silverado HD.
Interior – 2021 Chevrolet Silverado HD in Chino CA
The Chevy base model Work Truck has a nice 83.5 cubic feet of cargo capacy compared to only 78.5 cubic feet by the 2021 Ford Super Duty. M K Smith Chevrolet understands that many of our customers come to us looking for trucks that have the most space, so if you want maximum cargo carrying capacity, forget the Super Duty. It’s a bust this year. The High Country is by far nicer on the inside than the Limited trim by Ford, too. This matters. When you are able to grab features like heated second row outboard seats, perforated leather seat trim, and front bucket seats with center console, it’s obvious that the Silverado HD is racking up the wins here. Ford just doesn’t offer as much on the interior. Some of our other favorite features that the High Country offers that the top trim of Super Duty does: Standard Ventilated front passenger seats, Standard 10-way power driver seat with lumbar support, Standard Electronic lock control on steering wheel, Standard leather-wrapped wheel, Standard front A-pillar mounted assist handles for both driver and passenger.
Entertainment – Chevrolet Silverado HD
Connectivity and entertainment mean much to today’s workers. You want to be able to choreograph your day from a communication and entertainment perspective as well. The High Country offers a very volumptuous infotainment system. Its 8″ HD color touchscreen is much better as a standard touchscreen than the Super Duty Limited is able to dish out. The Silverado HD’s most gets Chevrolet Infotainment 3 premium system, and it has Bluetooth audio streaming, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and many in-vehicle apps that keep you connected at all times. Your remote features are also extremely impressive. Standard HD radio is in the Silverado but not in the Super Duty. You can grab it, but you have to pay, and in 2021, who wants to pay for any kind of radio feature. It should have been included! And it is, but only in the Silverado HD.
Winner – 2021 Chevrolet Silverado HD dealer
Overall, the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado HD is serving Chino Glendora Ontario Inland Empire truck drivers with a by far better experience than the Ford Super Duty. The Super Duty has a really bad habit that we don’t like here at our dealership. It tends to offer the most advanced features so that it can say it does, but it makes you pay just to get those things that so many truck owners have already been spoiled by. The Silverado HD’s 36,000 pound maximum trailering capacity is also something to really celebrate as an accomplishment this year. It’s #1 in the industry. Throw in a 7,442 pound payload capacity, and you’re going to look forward to going to work everyday. Dish it out. The Silverado is born to handle it.
